I am so sad that he's gone. We weren't close, but our interactions were always friendly and I really liked him. He was such a wonderful person - a kind and loving soul. I am so sad for those of you who were close to him and are hurting so much, now, but am also happy for you that you were so blessed to have him in your lives like you did.

Beautiful words Misha. I looked to him as a big brother, for his decisions were thoughtful and caring. When other people might text, he would pick up the phone and call.

Those of you who know Anna please stay close to her. mer was her world. Buddy days of May as mer called it (her bday is in may) is coming up and she will need all of us. The man leaves big shoes to fill.

Jeff, mer would not want us to close the forum. The banner is blacked out (darkened) to symbolize silence and honor our fallen friend. He would have liked it. If he were here today he'd be telling you all to work hard, love hard, and be true. If you do that he will be proud.

Mer was the first to reach out to me here, and though we only met briefly, I can already feel his absence. I mean, you're all great, but I'm sure I'll be catching myself hoping he'll chime in on threads for a while.

Again; beautiful words, Misha. We should all strive to be thought of even half as fondly. Maybe carrying a bit of his spirit with us will help us all miss him less.

Thank you all for the overwhelming support. Losing Mer has affected our entire community and many of you are expressing feelings of being lost. Band together, hug each other. We are all a family. <3

If someone wants to donate glass/supplies/etc to raise money for his family my time and energy are yours, I will help organize whatever we can.

Your support of mer and his family means more to myself and those of us at Talkglass than we could ever put into words. mer was a huge part of this place. for those who don't know he was the only other owner and admin than myself. We always approach things as we all own this place, each and every one of us, but still paper work had to be done. He was very proud of his work here and never expected anything in return, as do none of us.

He gave his time, heart and soul for many years.

Thank you again mer, for all that you've built with us and the ways you've changed our lives.

My deepest condolences to everyone who has been touched by this. The legacy of Mer will live on through everything and everyone he has helped. I am grateful for that which he taught me.
