Re: SM locking tube holder, Griffin L marver

Re: SM locking tube holder, Griffin L marver
Tube tool to Icarus pending payment.
Marver still available.
These tools are no longer in production. They retailed at 300, between high production costs and not a huge demand, it wasn't a feasible product for them to offer. I got a screaming deal and offered it up below cost because TMP is the shit. Y'all welcome.

Thanks Wilbur. Really looking forward to this beauty making friends with the rest of the tools on my bench.

Re: SM locking tube holder, Griffin L marver
You can make these jigs(holders) yourself if you like. The original versions were fabricated from lamp parts back in the JBD metal shop by Vincent Thomas 15 years ago. Threaded tubing... big washers, nut, grommet, and a wingnut to tighten. Not as nice as the production model but you can't get those any more right? Congrats Icarus, sweet tool.

Re: SM locking tube holder, Griffin L marver
^ glad your stoked. Some of the stoppers didn't seem to fit into stock tube sizes? I think if you remove rubber stopper from the metal part and drill a bigger hole on the stoppers, as not to bulge out the rubber so much initially, that should fix that.. I forget which tube sizes they were but there were a couple that were right on the cusp, one size a hair too big, the next a hair too small. Sorry for not mentioning that
