This will probably be grainy. Idk. Worth a shot. Doing some fume prep tonight. Not a clue what I'll be making with it yet. Being indecisive so just started making sections.

Nah, nah. See, I meant to do that.

Got a few things I need to fix. Longer stem, better flat bottom, bowl is a little deep and hole too large, top of the weld on the neck has a thick spot.

    Functional. Shop piece.

I'm really digging your hollow work! I like the way the stand up sits. What color are your accent dots?

Are you using a hand torch for the welds? If so which brand?

Not sure what it's called. I believe it was a one time pull from sparkle pants ranch that was gifted to me by glocc coma

You edited and I almost missed the question! I weld really hot so that it doesn't leave any acute angles, but it's not all the way welded. Bridge and then work it in with the smith little. Just ordered a 7 jet tip for it because it's a pretty cheap little torch and the tips kept bending a little and affecting the flame.

Not my idea. John kobuki design. I took his clsss in April and it opened my eyes to different shapes you can make in implodes.

I like the black edged red flower pendant.

I assume that's a twisted cane you made for it? Or did u draw them separately?

Actually it must be onyx painted onto red,no?

Would you make a video of your loop technique?

    Default Lookin' good, Bones

In October I was dead set on making a hummingbird implosion. I got busy with the holiday stuff and kinda forgot about it. Decided the first piece of 2017 would be something new, fun and exciting for me. I love trying new things even when they don't turn out (like this one)

I like to think it's progress. The first ones from October didn't look anything like birds. I think I'm getting closer, but this time the wings and tail didn't spread flat like the other ones did. One step forward two steps backwards! I'm going to keep working on these this year and see if I can work it out. I would love to have a thing that (as far as I know) has not been done before.

Have a great year everyone. Push yourselves and try something new!
