Yeah. That's one of the techniques that frustrates me. I have seen it done and I know how to do it. But I can never seem to pull it off.

Wow. Almost didn't post these when I saw the ones above. I'm still proud of them though

Wrap and rake with a what I call a hippy anchor. It's red based Amber purple and is supposed to be all wavy.

Other is just a fume spoon. Happy with the coverage on the fume. Although I need to bake it on a little better. It rubbed off a touch.

Sorry for the crummy pics. Gotta creep the glass photography forum for tips.

One tip is good lightning and always use a sturdy tripod. It'll make for clearest pictures. Talk to a camera expert if you wanna mess with settings. Also look up the minimum focal length of your camera. A lot of cameras have a minimum of 3 feet, so you have to be 3 feet back supposedly to get it to focus properly. So check that jackass

I would start with stripes then work toward plain wraps first. Wrap and rake is a combination of both.
Then work on getting it hotter.
    Just to help.

You sacrifice major depth of field when shooting that way. I have a nice digital SLR and a good tripod, for almost any actual really nice quality photo you want a tripod, and use your camera in manual mode. High F stop and longer exposure gives more detail and depth of field.
    you will shank me later

Eh I use digital lights set camera for halogen lighting. Great color with photoshop. It is a still life so you don't need that much depth.

I bought a lighting kit with soft box but I like my table cloth and felt jewelry display pad better.
