It is cheaper and better to make glass hooks.

Ornament caps are expensive? I'm seeing them for as low as .11 cents per cap...

Adds up man. Plus I like mine being all hand made glass. I started blowing glass by making the hooks and bench blowing the ornaments. Hooks have always been glass.

People complain about shipping being 50 cents to 1 per piece in large orders. They would be upset over 10 cents.

I am pretty sure that nobody in the history of the modern day world has been upset over 10 cents.

I can understand just wanting them to be all glass, as I usually do them all glass as well, but I can't see .11 cents being a large enough expense completely write them off, or hurt profits enough to even make much of a difference. Some people may actually pay a few dollars more for them with the caps, especially if they are among those who believe they look more professional or clean. Even if they don't pay extra for them, I'm sure .11 cents will not cut into your profit margin much at all. If it does, you may need to rethink your business plan.

If you're selling individual pieces directly to the customer I doubt an extra 11 cents or even an extra buck or two would be a big deal. But if you're doing a wholesale order for a large amount of pieces I can see the extra expense being a problem.

I like doing them all glass. Yes I wholesale everything. Yes I try to keep my expenses down because I am poor and this is my only income.

Yeah! It worked! I'm also new to "forums" - so a bit of a learning curve. But I'm not new to glass ...this is a recent series I started called 'eat your veggies'... This is eye pod.

"Prodo whore" huh? I have not heard that one before. I have heard "Sales Whore" but never "Prodo Whore"....
Actually I heard it from the company Porn Star. They made skate and snowboard clothing. Guy had a booth at the Vegas snowboard show with the title "Sales Whore" on it. The bitches used to like that stuff back in the day.

Nomad I used the term prodo or production whore bc I've made nothing but other peoples production for the last 10 yrs wether it be the prodo at the precision oem quartz shop I worked at the past 9 or so years or the work I currently contract out. I rarely get the time to play.... Quotas bills life seem to be constantly in my way of making fun stuff
