Working on life sized house sparrows...

This was the first round prototype of a female head. Hand mixed color . I put the front half of one wing on just to "see" .

The next round will be the full bird , with disc flipped wings. Cut out the wings , and cut feathers apart most of the way at the end, so it's layered .... Still hot in the first few pics.

This last one really shows how small. Not much bigger than my thumb.... Next round may be a tad smaller. (Life sized )

nice start. I am busy as hell making pipes. I finished my last holiday order today. I turned down a few even. But I got orders for 2015 to start too.

A sherlock of sorts (maybe more of a "drooper"), had an attempt at a disk mouthpiece with some more slyme tentacle-like dealies but it decided to crack so I tore it off and salvaged the main piece, still a cool guy imo. The one thing I wish I could get better at is silicon encasement. Well I notice a lot of the time my lenses or connections of clear on clear leave this barely noticeable seam. Sucks so bad, on some level im sure someone might even think it was like a very thin crack. It might just be that I am trapping an ultra thin layer of air or something.

I thought I remembered reading something about just getting both things nice and hot, but I am apparently a fool and can't get it right. This one was a little worse with that as you might be able to see in the pic. I was attempting to "mix out" the seam, instead it just created a bunch of imperfection debris. Funny how things that plague me after I started blowing again never seemed to be an issue years back. That or I was just too naive to notice them.

Damn nomad yer a machine! (I mean that in the best of ways I need to be filling my cases faster and regularly... seeing yer production makes me wanna get in the shop and work long hours.

Sometimes I think I am into glass because I am just a whore for colorful things that melt... oh but what a whore to be!
