It is in Seattle, WA harpentuan. The event is Fri-Sun the 15th-17th this month. When the event draws closer, everyone who can make it should try to plan a meet up @ the festival!

So am I being foolish bringing a small case of glass to sell without being an approved vendor? Will I even make it in with that? Fly out tomorrow AM hope to see some of you there!

So I vended glass at this years hempfest. most every one in my shop sent some glass. We had some of the nicest glass there and I did good money wise, though it was not worth it for the amount of effort expended over all. I did not know that there would be so much imported glass there. there was like 50 booths of import shit all selling the same stuff and some of those were operated by the hempfest itself, they sold pipes donated to them. most all of them imports, but they were telling people if asked that they are American made. In fact while my buddy was at one of them ranting about the problems with selling import glass, a glass blower came in to ask if he could put a little sign next to his pipes in there saying who made them and where his booth is at, as he had donated them for the purpose , he was told, of giving them to hempfest volunteers. The store was selling them at half the price he sold them for , so he just wanted a little recognition. They said no and my buddy was still there after he left and the person running the booth said " Fuck that guy"

Its a shame. Its such a great culture and its tainted by products that are made by slave kids in pakistan, not to mention that they were selling imported titanium nails which are not made from grade 2 titanium and are a hazard to your health. No one needs to be able to by 3 spoons for $9. If they removed the imports from the hempfest they could feasibly attract actual glass artists to fill those booths.

As it is they are helping to set a precedent that import glass is ok. Now that they finally succeeded in legalizing marijuana there is no direction , its just about money now. They should stop and consider that maybe they should put there effort into building the culture into something that is not disposable commercialism.

Oh yeah and the food sucked. There is 250000 hungry stoners and your choices are teriaki chicken and state fair type foods. What the fuck is going on there?
