Re: JmC's Progressions
Thanks Trizz, I used green black and blue china tube with sliver and gold on the black and silver only on the blue and green sections. The tubing all worked just fine and I put them through a lot of manipulation. The next one should be a bit more in balance I need to plan before I start melting stuff.

God I still suck bad!! Here is a decent sherlock made from 9 sections. Not my best days lately but I have been attempting new things. Onward!!

Lookin' snazzy! Pushing yourself has certainly paid off no? Something I often need to remember. It can be easy trapping yourself in comfort zones, or it can for me at least. Keep up the great work!

Re: JmC's Progressions
Im pretty proud of this piece. This is my first tubing pull and first time getting the encalmo's to stay fairly even throughout the piece. My wigwagging need some work, but this guy was made with the knuckles, I hope to do a better job when I use the main part of the tubing. Took me two days of planning and prep to get to here. I feel like the extra time spent thinking about the design and how the build would go, paid off. Which is different from my normal tactic, just attacking the glass with no real place to go. Thanks everyone for all the knowledge and experience you all share here on the forum. It is invaluable to have such a community around.

Re: JmC's Progressions
Griff came in town this week and showed me a ton of new tech. Here is a colab we did together, well he did most of it except a horn and the mibs. But I was there for support!! Can't wait to try some of this stuff on my own. This is experimental green striped over 32 then vacced into 50. The horns are lochness over clear.

Re: JmC's Progressions
Hey Yall,
Haven't been able to work all for the last couple months. Spring time on the farm is madness. But I was able to get out a couple days ago and made some nice things. Here they are.
My first implosion in a while, Kubuki inspired/copied white rose

Re: JmC's Progressions
Barry, every time I see a post from you my brain says "FUCK YOU" then I read "nice looking pieces", your totally sending mixed messages with that logo...
It has been months since I have been able to torch, but now that snow has hit the ground and harvest is done its time for me to get back in the saddle. Just got a mirage snub nose this summer and here are the first few things I have made. Loving this torch so much, needle flames and huge flames at my finger tips!!! And since I have more melting power I pulled off a couple tube pulls, well mostly pulled them off... Spent a bit of time on some wigwaggery, I know it played but I need the skills that come with working with this stuff. I am still not nailing the terminations.
Anyway thanks for looking and any feedback is always appreciated.

Re: JmC's Progressions
Last night I put this hammer dry pipe together for a friends girlfriend. It may be the nicest thing I have made yet.
Everything went smooth, I felt pretty comfy about going in and reheating sections or adding things. I am digging the ability to make colored tubing with this new mirage snubby!!
I have also found someone with a nice camera who is going to help me take some better photos of my pieces. So the next updates should be clean pipes and much better quality.
Also just officially flipped the bird to the O2 man and my R2 O2 unit is working away, lol. beep boop bop Going to add a second tank in line so I can fill two units, also have since anchored the tanks to the wall. It looks like it is producing around 500 psi in this 250c tank in about 12 hours. I have the oxy con set to a little over 2 lpm.

Re: JmC's Progressions
As promised, my roommate and I took some better photos today, we just built a simple light box out of cardboard. I want to pay him for his time. Does anyone currently pay a photographer to take photos of your stuff?
Looks nice with a real camera. Oh the little nubs on the black pipe are the meta from molten aura, I believe this is the less dense form
I think a black background may be better or gray or something.
