Re: Simian's Murrini Progression
just curious about how many grams you might get from a pull, on average?
just to get an idea how many grams you would like to have presold in order to make it happen.
not specifically for the hatchetman, just if you were to take on a custom order from an individual or group of guys on here even, how many grams would you want ordered to even consider doing it?

Hey guys!
Here is how I approach custom orders.
1. I only take on projects I know for a fact I can successfully complete.
2. If at any time a component or the final pull fails I remake components or the final on my dime, not yours.
3. The estimate for total grams can vary by 50-100 grams.
4. The estimate for total grams depends largely on the image and how many components it is comprised of.
5. Unlike many milli artists my prices go down for customs because you are buying all components and the final image in its entirety.
For instance: an image I would retail for $6 a gram I would sell at $4 a gram as a custom. That give a nice discount to the buyer for purchasing in bulk and leaves room for them to make some money if they wish to resell the pull or part of it.
6. I charge $3 a gram for all component remnants. I typically trim them on the saw so you are not paying for waste or significant amounts of clear.
7. I require payment based on the estimate in full at the time of the order. As I am dropping everything to do a custom job and will be investing sometimes weeks or even a month into a project I don't want to be left with a project I have no use for. Got burned once "helping someone out" so this is just how I do things now to protect myself.
8. The pull can vary in finished weight base on many factors. If it comes in light I refund the difference. If it comes in heavy you are only responsible for up to 100 grams over the initial estimate (the most it has ever gone over was 50 grams). Anything over the initial estimate + 100 grams I charge nothing for and it goes to you.
9. I typically give a time of completion that is 2 weeks to one month longer than I think it will take to cover any unforeseen problems like sickness, travel, waiting on color, or having to remake a portion of the pull.
10. Everything gets shipped bomb proofed and insured at no added cost to you.
I think that covers everything. Let me know if you have any questions.
