i 2nd that....gold fume over white, or heavy gold fume mixed with white makes a great pink.
Kelley, pink is a challenging color to implode (or compress) very bubbly, I did one with bubble gum as a coating over Lucy because I wanted tiny little bubbles. I think your best bet is gold over white for pink.

You shouldn't be having sex for pleasure, only for reproduction.
Thousands of people read my threads now. So I’m trying to not embarrass myself.
Chinese opaque pink seems to be working well for me. Just a note, I'm very new to glassworking, and don't have nearly as much experience as the other folks here. But it seems to implode fairly nicely.
This is the first implosion I ever did and I happened to do it with this pink.
Nice aommaster! That shit looks awesome! China white is my go to (I have a little older the old stuff) I will deffinately check out the opaque pink
Shit never tried twisting up gold into white....
If you're interested in other "flower-y" colors, you could also try out the Asian Opaque purple. It works really nicely too if you use purples in your work. This was the second implosion I did, this time trying to focus on improving the petal layout.
I have also tried out Asian Topaz. It's a nice yellow, but it's not opaque, so you'll get some transparency in it. Similar issue with the new Asian white (it's called Jade White).
the best purple I am aware of is a color called greasy purple rainbow, and as far as I can tell it has not been available for a long time

Nice work!
Just thought I'd share a nice combo I found for pink! Telemagenta over Cherry
Whew those are great!
thanks!!! : )
Hi all. I started this thread awhile back, but went on hiatus with flower implosions. I'm back on the torch and I'm having a problem I cant remember how I fixed in the past. My petals are not stretching down to center they stay hollow. It's really strange. I've had this in the past and it just kinda fixed itself. Pic attached for example. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Nah, nah. See, I meant to do that.
yeah, those are terrible...i could take them off your hands for you...i'd even pay shipping...lol
don't wash your hands with your sammich.

Like... the petals look like U's and the center is missing. Like it's got holes instead of everything coming to a termination point. (Note that it isnt the termination at the end, I've looked into that. It happens prior to termination)
Just seems like it runs out of stringer to implode. Tried thicker stringers, same thing. I forgot how I corrected this a few years back.
I've tried different heat bases, imploding warmer/cooler, pressing lighter/harder. I think I've made about 7 or 8 and all of them except for 1 have this problem. Unfortunately the one that doesnt have the problem is the first one I did, so I'm not sure lol
Nah, nah. See, I meant to do that.
Here better pic of issue

I see it now. That's pretty crazy man. If you could do it on purpose you could turn it into a cool new tech!
Perhaps it’s due to the clear glass that you are applying the stringer to not being hot enough when you lay the stringer on it.
