far left, whiteout mixed with illuminati (could be china white...got my stash mixed up), far right is china white for sure, and the middle is china white, coated in cobalt 5 stringer, then coated in black violet stringer. the blue "pops" way more in person under natural light.

Is that forest green for the leaves? I remember there was a green that you could use that was okay, but I can't remember what it was.

NS evergreen is my standard. love it, never had it check, and i can use it in reducing or oxidizing flames and it looks the same (doesn't get streaky). in the blue flower, it's evergreen coated in eclipse stringer.

Someone asked me for a pink and white rose. This guy got smushed. Take two...

My go to leaf cane combo is jade over slyme. Started recently putting green stardust over that for a little sparkle. Heavy Lep works too. I have never had problems with greens checking as long as I get it done in a reasonable amount of time and don't let it get too cold too many times.

So right after that last post I had my first checking issue using jade over slyme (no sparkle colors)

Tiny checks in the leaves that will only get bigger even sitting on the shelf. Damn. 😔

Hell yeah, Paul. Saw that on IG, looks great. I suck at getting clear to compress. It always flattens out and gets mushy...

Thanks! Rod compressions do that to me too. I think the trick is just heat base (more) and implode slower. That has been helping me but even this one looks pretty squished in my opinion

paul, i like your fume pendants, the petals look so fumey! ( strong and defined, vs pale ). Are you using gold/silver with clear stringers on solid rod implosions?

Hi kittypooh thanks! This specifically was a large (28mm) Rod of Schott clear, then I use simax 3mm Rod to lay petals. What I will say is that it is better to pull clear stringers to keep bubbles out. I was just being lazy.

Keep in mind it is hard to get the stringers to stick over the fine fume layer. You will want to make sure you don't lose heat base before applying your stringers. I then go back and blast off excess fume (leave it on for different effects.)

To get the transparent look I hit it with a real hot flame as I'm melting in the stringers and you'll see it get sort of transparent. That's good. Then implode them and that stretch is where the good colors come in. Strike it (reheat it) a few times to get it less transparent and more pronounced. I hope this helps! I like your last post
