    Default Robert jobe progression thread

Just started melting some glass 3 weeks ago. No lessons. Just been on here reading and watching videos.
My stuff isn't presentable yet but I'm having fun. Oh except for that small fire last night

    My very first 3 blobs

Its rhe first one to turn out decent. The medium grit frit wouldn't totally melt in. Probably should have gotten fine frit I can see my mistakes. .last week I was so discouraged by my attempts. Had a hard time with disconnecting blow tube and opening up the hole. Found great info tips here .moving along.

Im new to glass too, what is a challenge now will be easy in a few weeks.

I had troubles getting a blow tube to stay on, opening a hole was tricky at first. getting frit or colors to melt in smooth is still tricky like my torch its not up to snuff but operator error is more likely.
    Mouth pieces like to crack.

lots of little things get me to chasing my tail but they are becoming less and less.

Tried a fumed and twisted pendant. My favorite but I've only done a few.

    Look at you go!

Can I make a suggestion? More heat! Once you think it's hot enough, heat some more.

    Keep it up!

Yeah definitely use more heat, that's the same problem I had when I started. Looks really good so far!
