What does it look like worked? It better look amazing, I think it is cheaper than glow powder. Does it melt in or is it like crushed opal. How is it possible for it to be non-coe specific?

From what I've seen it doesn't melt so you wind up with crystals of color floating in clear think opal tech only not opal just color shards.

Seriously though, how can it survive being annealed if it's not coe specific? (yall know what I mean)

So from what Dammond has told me about it is that it is not COE specific and UV reactive. It is comparable to Gilson Opal shards amount wise and I believe workability. I will let him know people have some questions for him to answer on here. We have a set of a gram of each (Emerald, Ruby, Blue Sapphire, Orange Sapphire & an Experimental Light Blue "Aquamarine-ish" color thrown in, and half a dozen or so individual grams of the Orange Sapphire that we are going to be auctioning off or giving away for some the After Party Events. Here are a couple of his pics with his SSF inside for you to see the UV, I will also be testing some out that I got for myself and doing a full review on...

Yep these products act much like synthetic opal chips or powder. They can be used in any type of glass. Designed for encasing however they can be used in other applications too.

looks like some micro checks going on in some of those pics....

I'm guessing this is just a doped fused silica material, as opposed to a nano-sphere arrangement that produces the "fire" in gilson opal?

Is that checking, or does it just look like that because it's broken glass in the first place?

If that were the case, all frit (being broken glass and all) would look like that.

I wonder if sending Dammond a PM requesting that he sell you some might be a good place to start?
