Just an FYI you can buy those at the beauty supply house much cheaper. They are actually curling rod warmers

Sort of....
Devardi does some sort of hack to theirs to make them go MUCH hotter than the standard rod warmers. I bought a Devardi back in 2010 and stopped using it because it was too dangerous. Once it is hot the entire thing is a fire hazard.

Re: Devardi Rod Warmer
Ya I am NOT a Devardi fan at all. He is a very rude person. His stuff is re-sold Harbor Freight material. He cuts the temp govener and adds a turn dial. It is dangerous

Re: Devardi Rod Warmer
Never use any piece of electrical equipment that has been tampered with. Removing safety interlocks and changing the mode of operation is asking for a fire. And if this device causes a fire, your insurance will NOT cover the damages that are caused by it.
Don't do it.

Re: Devardi Rod Warmer
well If that's the case i'll have a look at the wiring and componets before use thanks for the tips guys... if I have to i'll do a rewire but having the case and what not still makes life easier for me

Re: Devardi Rod Warmer
They're no more a fire risk than an large open flame....but no less either.
same rules apply, of course: Don't leave it unattended, and don't put it near anything combustible.
