Default Pixie Dust use in glass?

I got some Wale Apparatus Pixie Dust and Hi Light Pixie Dust...Any tips using this stuff....I tried melting the double gold into some dark green moretti and it burns off instead of in. It's mad tricky cause I don't typically use soft glass and rolling drippy glass into gold dust moves the glass around the mandrel. I did manage to get one bead to work by lightly rolling the bead into the dust and flash melting the gold to the surface but not for very long...I then tried to trap the gold dust in between a layer of pyrex color and clear but that didn't want to work...I forced it like a taffy machine but the end result looked like shit...Any Tips?

You might try here for the soft glass usage:

For boro, if I recall correctly, it burns.

I use it in soft glass a bit. It's sensitive to heat, so I've got to work it cool. I imagine boro working-temps would fry it.

Looks neat mixed into glycerin for liquid-filled pieces.
