BLOW-IN 3-D SKULL MOLD UPDATE!!!
This has been quite a detailed project, but almost there. First half of the 3-D skull Mold ..I put on a 19mm BLowhole/Punty as I had a lot of people wanting the hole between 12mm and 19mm as the skull face will be 1.5" long , head 1" wide with lower jaw about .75" wide and it will be about 1" deep/thick with the back of the Skull..Will be doing the back of the SKull with updates soon. Any suggestions on how you would like it to function? Press down mold, The back skull presses down on top of the face skull, hinged etc..?

thats so cool Kulture - i would imagine that a hinged mold for that skull woudl be best for proper alignment each time. No matter how you end up doing it. very cool.

i have found that my stamp works best when i dilute a solid color with some clear. 30-50% of it should be clear. when i did the cobalt itself it was too dark and the image looked "flat".

the pic in my thread is a mix. i like it much better. going to make some ball markers for the golf boys!

I'm very new to glass but so happy to find this post. I had thought how cool it would be for someone to build custom molds and was hoping to find someone to make me one. Tried the dead bear a few times since...same outcome...I think it may be the clear coat but the relief could have been a little deeper on the inside of the bear as well....I'll try it again and use an exotic color...than reduce flame the bear once stamped...
