Cool. Sounds like fun!
I'm in Quechee Vt outside Woodstock Vt. I'm going to see Simon Pearce's studio and eat at his restaurant. I'm going to take lots of pictures. I will post them.
Simon Pearce has a great website if you want to google him. He got a studio powered by hydroelectric. He has a creek with a dam. I think it's an old mill. He also had a continuous feed furnace.
I will post pics after I go to the restaurant for lunch.
Cool. Sounds like fun!
Hydroelectric powered furnace and studio.
Half the size of the gallery.
Rad.
Very cool.
I was driving back to Indiana after IT in 2003 and came across Simon Pierce and my mind was blown. A picturesque setting with talented glass artists and a great restaurant. This concept has fuel my imagination while on the torch ever since.
Thanks for bringing back these memories.
Thats awesome, might have to make a trip to check it out.

50 bucks for a clear ornament? Sheeesh
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around, and desert you.
right?!, so maybe we all just need to open a restaurant in front of our bench and can then charge for the "entertainment" as well as the glass
It was a really good restaurant with great service.
I went to lunch. It was more reasonable.
Looks like they are back to normal. Didn't they get flooded pretty bad a while back? I think the river flooded the entire studio.
What an awesome setup they have going on. Would love to check it out.
"Destruction leads to a very rough road, but it also breeds creation."
yeah they told us that the huricane destroyed half the place. But they reopened it in 2 weeks. The covered bridge next to had to be replaced.
I wish I had that furnace and the hydro electric plant he has in there. You could make so much glass out of that furnace. I would be a rich dude.
I would make like 100 ornaments a day for sure.
