    Default Ganjaly

    Hello!

I'm new to this forum, so my apologies if this has already been discussed...

Has anyone heard of Ganjaly? If so, what are your thoughts? Does anyone sell on Etsy currently, or any other marketplace for that matter?

I'm trying to get an idea of where to find targeted customers to sell my pipes, artwork, etc. I haven't had any luck approaching head shops.

    TIA!

    Interesting...

So it looks like they're copying the Etsy format...

I would assume they have a processor who is ok with pipes... if they don't that may end things rather abruptly, but in the meantime, it may be a viable outlet for some pipes.

This is the first I've heard of it... what are their marketing channels? If they take out full page ads in marijuana culture magazines and do big time social promotion campaigns they could be on to something.

I suppose their listings are like Etsy, 3 months or so, for $0.20 a pop it would be worth a few bucks to test the water for sure.

If you try them out let us know how it works!

It says "cannabis merchandise", not "cannabis accessories," and it seems to be merchandise, not unlike sports memorabilia but with pot leaves for logos. With cannabis being in the title, and online being nationwide/worldwide, I think a person would be inviting some heat by selling pipes there.

They have a "glass pipes" category and a "smoking accessories" category...

Yeah, I had just heard of them as well. It looks like they process through PayPal, which if I understand correctly doesn't allow the sale of "drug paraphernalia". I sent them an email asking about the payment processing so I'll let everyone know when I hear back.

It looks like they are just starting out and don't have any pipes listed for sale yet, all though there is a category for pipes. They might not be aware of the stipulation PayPal has on smoking accessories.

Yeah I suspect it's probably some stoner web marketing guy with a bright idea and a good deal on hosting... only time will tell.

Hello, I stumbled across this and wanted to let everyone know that we have officially launched.

It is our goal to provide a platform for artists and craftspeople to sell their goods to a targeted audience.

We provide a robust back end for vendors to manage their store.

    The dashboard
provides a dynamic and always-up-to-date overview of how your store is performing. You can change the start/end dates at the top to get all your stores sales results. Showing you # of orders, total products sold, commission owed, and commission paid at the top. The Product Totals give you a quick overview of the the percentage of sales each product brings your stores total revenue. Hover over a slice of the pie with your mouse for the name of the product that slice represents.

Add and edit products on the Products tab. Click it and you will see all the products your store has listed on the site, their publishing status, price, categories and tags. Hover over a product to edit, delete or view it. Adding a product is really easy. It’s the same for editing a product. Simply edit a product or click Add Product at the top/bottom of the Products tab.

Clicking on “Orders” brings you to your orders view where you can see all the orders customers have placed for your items. You can add notes which email to the customer, add tracking numbers, mark orders as shipped, and also print a packing slip.

Auctions - Normal, reverse and sealed (silent) auctions. Proxy / auto bidding. Define start price, price increment, reserve price, buy it now price. Set start and end time for auction. Email notifications (with editable email templates) for outbid note, auction won, payment reminder, auction fail, reserve fail, auction buy now, auction finish, administrator bid notification (bid not), customer bid notification, auction relist admin notice, auction relist user notice and more...

eBay style feedback system for Vendor Ratings. Customers can leave you 1 to 5 stars for your products by visiting their My Account page and clicking Leave Feedback. They can edit/update the feedback at any time, too, that way if you get a poor review you can work with the customer to make their experience/product better and perhaps they will update their rating!

    Coupons
    - As a vendor, you can create coupons specifically for your products. These coupons will not work on any other products, except for those in your store. You can include only certain products, include all of your products, or even include all and exclude others, or even by category! Woo! It can be a percentage discount, or a flat dollar price reduction.

    Store settings
    - Such as your store name, description, social media links, phone number, banner images, and avatar/icons. All of these settings impact how your store looks to the world.

    Payment Processing
    - We use a platform called Dwolla. Dwolla is a cash-based payment network, so customers pay your business with cash.

Please, if anyone has any questions feel free to contact me. We are a brand new start up and eager to build this community!

    Cheers!

@Ganjaly, it says that payments go through Paypal... Paypal JUST closed down my account permanently for selling cannabis related glass on a similar ecommerce website. Paypal are openly against glass pipes and the industry as a whole.

This is what I mean by Ganjaly needing paypal.

In the vendor dashboard option, this is what you're resented with:

I'm still looking for a suitable substitute to Big Cartel/Etsy, but this doesn't seem to be it...

Same. It's a great idea, but I can't get down with any paypal connection.
