Here is a pink comb from last week. I know my "Pyrex Corning" is at least pre 2003.

    One strike cycle. Silver only.

I get totally different colors with the same method I use on simax.

Lots of pink/red/purple .... I get the same range of color from struck serendipity...

All of the corning tube I've used has been made in the Czech Kavalier factory, give your case a look at the fine print area.

Its has the same hue as the current batches of blue simax. I'm not sure if anythings been moved to the US yet. Its a pain to inside-out fume, though.

Its not the same as the old usa made corning .. (never will be made again) interesting side note that corning was made at a schott factory .. in parkersburg wv ..pre2003 ...

Anyway this stuff is being made at what was formerly the kimbel/kimax factory .... corning bought it .. the formula is supposed to be the same as kimax .. but I havent used it yet to varify ... u have to ask the guy at wale .. its not on their web site but u can get it drop shiped from the factory now owned by corning ...

I guess it was made in the us.

It's a very pale green tint when you look at the end of a tube/rod.

It may actually be from the late 90's? (98?) I can't remember what was said.

The other box looks the same, just no stamp. I can't read the print on the white paper ( on the end of the boxes)

Sorry, shoud have specified, the new batches of corning are Czech. I've made a bit of headway laying lines down with a more reducing brand of 3mm. Its definitely got a fume learning curve, but Im still new to fume work in the big picture. Works very well though for general purpose and I know some people are doing well with the fuming side of things.

this is what I got for a price list from wale .. I ordered some 32 heavy today .. there was some confusion over weather they had to ship it from NJ or had it in stock .. but it is available. I don't think there is a big push from them right now to sell it because they have plenty of the czech stuff .. and no usa made rod .. but who knows Im sure If enough people call and ask for rod. theyll make some

Pricing on NJ heavy wall tubing :

    247801 - 9.5mm - $111.95 44 lbs./case
    247806 - 12.7mm - $125.95 46 lbs./case
    247811 - 19.1mm - $107.50 39 lbs./case
    247815 - 32mm - $131.95 41 lbs./case
    247820 - 44mm - $107.50 38 lbs./case

LESS 10% DISCOUNT FOR 10-19 CASES
LESS 20% DISCOUNT FOR 20 OR MORE CASES

ROD NOT MADE IN U.S. CURRENTLY

That's the money shot right there. Once upon a time, Pyrex was where it was at and simax was garbage
