In the lathe swing it is 7" from the center of the bore to the plate and multiply by 2 and that's the swing.

The normal nomenclature to describe that would be 14 inch swing 12 inches swing over the carriage.

    14x25.

Thanks Mahmood! That's pretty good clearance, a few more inches would be nice, but it's not a huge lathe...

Glad to answer your questions and I hope you are satisfied, one more thing that I need to say is Seam lathes are designed in such a way that you can dissemble and resemble easily with the tools we supply with the lathe and our tech support is always available pacific time except Christmas time when Seam shuts down15th till Jan 10th . but tech support is available. Best competing lathe in the market, quality and price.

My Ulathe is pimp, but your still sacrificing alot of space and shit that make big lathes omfy and easy to work on. I bet this seam is a piece of junk in comparison, but if it works correctly, its probably more comfortable and easy to use than a U.
I've had 3 U's and they are incredibly well built and have more capacity than the 500 lb SEAM.

I have looked over the site Ali, I would suggest adding more tech specs and pricing on the site if it was up to me. That will allow your partons to get more information without having to call you and bug you as much. It would save you a lot of time trying to explain the simple things. The lathe looks good though and from what I can see in the posts here, it will be one to think about getting for myself in the future.
