Re: Looking for new shops
That is why I am looking for a part time job too. But once taxes are taken out and my child support it’s not a lot of money. So things probably will not change.

Looking for new shops
My first job as a glassblowing assistant was like $8 hour. Well $50 a day for 6 hours.
It went up to $9 when I became a production gaffer.

Before that it was $6.50 for night janitor at a ski lodge. That was 50 cents above minimum wage because it was at night.
I got free lift tickets everyday to snowboard though and free pizza at night. So I loved it at age 20.

Re: Looking for new shops
SNAP benefits are like $192 maximum for 1 person per month. Sure better than the ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly you get for working out in California.
For real! I have had lobster dinner before from snap.

Re: Looking for new shops
I learned this from a guy from south central Los Angeles. He was a skinny all of 80 lbs kid who got twice the food everyone else had because he was on welfare. He had a pregnant girlfriend too.

I know but the facts are some people make millions of dollars a year and pay millions in taxes. So we can afford it.
It’s not the middle class paying for it.

And shit I am not getting paid until February. That’s like 2 months without regular pay.
If it wasn’t for small accounts I would be screwed.

I miss companies paying my once a week. It’s been a long time since that happened. Probably not since my 20’s.

I’m being negative today sorry.
If I am not working at the torch constantly I get worried about money lately.
I’m snowed in 45 minutes to an hour from the studio.
Cold weather too

it has nothing to do with the tax base... which btw is insufficient, hence the deficit. that money isnt for lobster man. this is why people who pay the taxes your are referring to hate doing so.

We live in a welfare capitalist society. We take care of the poor here.

Re: Looking for new shops
My dad pays like over $100,000 a year in taxes. He hates it. But this time he feels good about it and I don’t have to ask him for it either.

Re: Looking for new shops
But face it we don’t drug test people for welfare and we don’t tell them that steak and seafood is off limits. That’s discrimination.
