Well that's good to hear & know. It's hard lined in w/ natural gas btw.

One thing . . . if you notice your intake air blowing the pilot light around, you might swivel that intake pipe around a little bit. I'm not sure it could happen, but you don't want the pilot blowing out and flooding the studio with gas.
Right on I hear ya, that would be no bueno. It doesn't mess with the pilot light at all, it does look a lil deceiving in the pic but it points toward the ground, as I was having it mess with the torch flame slightly. I have it slightly angled towards the heater so the air passes in front of the heat zone. I also have a 4" insulated duct coming up from under the bench that pushes fresh air up between me & the torch while working. During the cold months, I cap off both fresh air intake ducts when not working to keep the cold air out. There is a back draft damper in the exhaust hood duct that opens up from the inline fan when turned on & closes when turned off.
I wish I had a better heater like that. I presently use two space heaters and it gets cold sometimes. Takes an hour to heat the studio up. I am thinking about a gas service since I am using so much propane. Maybe I will look into it this summer?

i'm worried about being too hot, what do you desert melters do in the summer heat? melt at night?
Fire in the bowl!
Ya lots work the night shift to help. A swamp cooler works wonders.
I want to post pictures of my shop but I can’t figure out how to on an I pad. I want to show the metal kitchen prep table I use for my American lathe. The table the lathe is on is all metal, stainless, and has a 3 in tall lip that I set facing me. It prevents tools from being pushed and pulled off the table by the hoses or careless multitasking. Look up kitchen prep tables online, the one with the lip is much better.
Sweet. I got kiln furniture so I can spend another couple hours a day at the torch myself.
nice
