I just soak mine in 99% Isopropyl. It works pretty well. In fact it's probably the only cleaning method I use but I've never had to clean anything to sell.
Whats up TMP
I have a decently expensive heady I bought a few years ago. I'm trying to get it perfectly clean to sell before I move and i'm having a hard time getting it perfectly clean. At some point I had dabbed our of it and then ran flower without intermittent cleanings. Am i ever going to be able to get this to the point i can sell it? does anyone have any suggestions on cleaning agents or techniques i can try?
I'm going to try ammonia this week and see what happens but I have my doubts.
thanks guys

Yup, I would also recommend 99% isopropyl alcohol over ammonia. Just let it soak overnight then rinse out thoroughly with warm/hot water & salt may be used for an abrasive.
This question has been asked before & others have recommend soaking with smokers polident.

My daily solvent tank is an Iris brand file box (with foam gasket top) filled with two gallons of Simple Green and two gallons water. Maybe pure Simple Green would help and 99% iso would be my next move.
Edit: oh yeah, I forgot this warning about Simple Green, decals will slide off:

resinate is a great cleaner. also the resolution gel is really good as well.
otherwise get some acetone. its cheaper than iso and works better imo.
I use 91% alcohol soak also and then put salt and more alcohol inside plug holes and shake the hell out of it and repeat if necessary
Solvents leave crud all over every inch of it.
Hot water and denture cleaning tablets rock. totally safe and will not hurt a thing. Dentures are expensive as hell so they require the best, safest cleaners.
I get like 18 tablets for $1 at the dollar store. With a few rinses of hot water after an hour soak and an overnight soak all the grunge lifts right off and the glass is like new.
Kicks the shit out of iso and acetone.
