I liked the opaque white too. I believe it was replaced by the Striking Opaque White. Why, I am not too sure and I cannot vouch for that color either. However, some of the more experienced members on here might know more about it.
This is a question about the opaque, solid, bumpy texture white rod from China.
Does anyone know why this color is not available anymore? Is there a reason for it's disappearance?
Personally, I liked it (and it's price) very much.
Sorry if this has been answered before.

I stopped buying a lot of asian colors because they were getting delayed in customs.

American colors are really so much nicer. I like star white myself now.
I was curious if anyone knew as to why production stopped and if anyone knew if it was going to come back? I've read brief details on this forum about Trautman making white in China then the factories producing their own version - which I had assumed was the old opaque white (??). It seems strange to stop production of a product that was seemingly successful unless there were other reasons for it being halted.
I heard rumours that they stopped production of the old stuff in favour of the new striking as it doesn't have to cook as hot or for as long to manufacture. I'm no expert on color chemistry though, so this may be false info.
I was told that they just made one huge run of the old China White. I loved that color... I'm still holding out hope someone has a monster stash
I picked up a case of the old white tube from ust not that long ago, they may still have some.
I know I have like 1 piece left of the china white. I am going to use ns star white now I think.
Its available at abr and ust guys

The china striking white is nice. Haven't had any issues with it so far but I haven't done implosions with it yet. I have some of the old stuff with black specks all over it. It's weird.
I got a bunch it belongs in the trash I should dig it out and put it there

its worth 10$ a pound, I was using some of the new china white tonight, and batch to batch it is sketchy as the old shit, I have a batch right now that washes out to clear pretty badly, so I am pretty much not using much white and using star white when I have to.

I love that old china white for $10 lbs. I can't buy it this minute. But I would be interested in a pound in the future. I use it for stripes and stuff.
Yeah I liked it and read a long time ago it wasn't going to be around forever. Love how it is so buttery, and how it retains heat.
