Default large softglass marbles and molds

Do I have to use cherry? I am curious if any of the hot shop people in here make big ass mibs? Can you post some pics and tell me about your process? I can make boro marbles, and I have a few good experienced teachers. Post some pics if your proud of your soft glass mibs,
May I live like the lotus, at ease in muddy water

Cherry or some type of fruit wood works best for wood blocks. Lack of sapp and its ability to hold water. Carbon also works fine. I prefer ring tools for off hand marbles. Easy enough to make your own.
