I’ve been trying to locate a striking glass that I am seeing a lot of on Instagram with the hashtag nofumefumetech the closest I think I can get to it being is from northstar and part of the Amber-purple family .
The work I have seen shows a similar outcome as fume work with more vibrancy with pinks , oranges and electric hazey blues , I have tried with mega mai tai pink and the other mai tais but not having much luck in achieving the look I am seeing . Does anyone know what this mystery colour is.

I've been using straight up silver. Drop some into a tube (~22mm) and start to heat. When the silver inside gets molten start rapping on the tube with a tool or a rod so that the molten ball breaks up into smaller bits that stick all over the inside. Condense that and shape into a marble.

The nofumefumetech is done with silver shavings basically like fumesniffer said from what I've seen and read. The shavings "self fume" the inside of the glass when they get condensed and real hot.

Top results fumesniffer and I’ll see if I can find some YouTube’s on it blairartglass. Not a technique I’ve encountered yet so no wonder I’m struggling to get the end result ,

I’m guessing the dark backing is the integral part like in other fumework

There are several guys in the "fume" group on Facebook that do this tech.

like most techniques/certain looks in this crazy medium, there are several ways to skin this cat, most involving shaved/ground up silver.
i'm 99% sure that the "no fume, fume tech" goes something like this: dump some silver bits or shavings into a tube, and melt down the tube from the end to encase the silver globules. then heat the gather until pretty soft and smack it with a hammer or other tool (dowel, graphite block?). repeat until silver is at desired distribution through the gather. i've never actually used this tech myself, but have heard plenty of people talk about it on facebook. honestly i always thought they were full of shit and trying to "have us on", but apparently it works.

what i did was to take my silver coin, shave it on a metal file and get it pretty fine ground. i'd take a tube of clear (simax was my go-to) and blow a bubble, open bubble on the end and let this bench cool a bit. then i'd either (i've done it both ways, with varying degrees of success with each) try and charge the cooled off bubble with static electricity (rubbed on a wood sleeve, kevlar worked too) and dump in some silver shavings while rotating the bubble in order to get even silver filing distribution. then take the bubble, heat gently (don't knock it on anything, your silver shavings will then fall off the walls and just gather at the bottom of bubble), close the hole and then reduce/implode the bubble to solid gather (if i wanted solid chunk) or just until the silver sticks if i wanted a hollow blank. then do whatever you wanted with it.

another way i tried was the same as above, only i'd take the bubble w/hole popped, evenly heat it until not quite hot enough to be moving and then sprinkle silver shavings into the hole while rotating, and hope like hell the shavings would stick w/o being all in one blob. then do as i did on the above example, either reduce to solid or until silver was stuck etc.

i'll attach a few examples of marbles i made using the above referenced techniques. some came out great, others merely so/so. if i can answer any other questions feel free to drop a pm or ask here.
    happy holidays everyone.

You would have to understand triboelectric properties to understand why this could work. Don't be so quick with the snarky answers.

The people who say it can't be done should get out of the way of the ones doing it.

it doesn't hold much of a charge, but snarky comments not withstanding, it does in fact take a static charge to an extent.

LOL. Yeah, I missed that. The video title just said "glass". Will still work with real glass though. If I remember right from my college physics days, the type of glass makes a difference, with lead glass being best. I'll hunt for a more relevant video.
