Re: What kind of boro is this
yeah, i'm not educated/well versed on the properties of boro and whether or not it'll hold a static charge, but i do know that when i rubbed the cooled off bubble on wool & denim, i did in fact get significantly more silver shavings to stick to the walls of the bubble. but in all honesty, all it took was a very slight tap on the work bench (or marver, or torch etc) and all the silver that was stuck, fell right off into one pile.
i also meant to add this to my original post on this thread, but i also experimented with spraying a very fine mist of water inside the bubble (once cooled, obviously) and then sprinkled the silver shavings into the bubble. the water/mist did a really good job of keeping the fine shavings where i wanted them, and when I reheated the bubble to implode (or just work the silver in) "most" of the silver did stay where i put it even after the water had long since evaporated off.
i'll also mention that i used distilled water for this, our tap water has way too much shite in it and left weird mineral deposits on the glass.
