I like it but my therapist thinks I am strange enough as it is with functional designs.

I don't use color in my prodo lines, it's not worth the time/cost to me. I'll do lip/foot wraps if a shop asks on the front end and is willing to pay, but for a no-name "artist" like me, it's a hell of a lot easier for me to sell all-clear pieces at my price points than the markup I'd need to add for the time/material cost of color.

Here's some recent molecularly-inspired color work (and a second attempt at a retti-tumbler from a messed up vac-stack from ages ago...good practice tubing, but way too many bubbles), but it's not prodo:

Personally, I couldn't care less whether a design is a 30 minute build or 2-hr build. At the end of the day, the pieces pay about the same when they're worked through an hourly labor breakdown of costs. When you're paid similarly for four 30 minute pieces as you are for a 2-hr piece, it means you can offer shops a selection of pieces at a variety of price points, which has advantages, imo.
That's badass! I'll never get where you are, I just don't have the time to invest in the hobby. I have too much other shit going on but I my be interested in buying one of your clear prodo pieces if I can afford it.

    Great work!

Actually no you aren’t paying for anything. My distributor in Boston and my disability check are the only people paying anything right now.

Thanks! A lot of it really does come down to just plugging away, it seems. Feel free to shoot me a DM about pieces whenever

Nomad, I believe MUPH's point was that disability payments come from tax-payers, so if you're drawing disability, it's tax-payers who are footing that bill.

Well it’s nice to hear that they pay taxes but that is assuming they do. Which unless they make 100 k a year I doubt.

I’m sorry but I don’t know anyone who is a glassblower and pays a lot of income taxes. So I don’t believe it.
You might have a day job? Glass blowing is a hobby?

Yea, Kid glass was definitely the inspiration to play around with geometrical frames. Started off ornamental before the functionals:

That's a story called tax evasion. If you earn income, you need to pay tax on that income. That shouldn't be a new concept to anyone.

Thats why i dont post pics of my headies on here and once i make my i.g its going private and im not letting other glass artists or fake accounts follow me. That way once glass artists see my shit in shops and start swagger jackn, everyone will know what the deal is. I have an orginal style like kid glass that took alot of effort to create, cant emagine how that makes him feel. They say imatation is the finest form of flattery but i dont think thats the case when it comes to art.

Seems like a pretty big stretch to say I'm jacking his style by using a similarly shaped framework (triangles arranged into a pyramid) to create a molecularly-focused, mushroom-themed concept piece. There's only so many geometries out there and I'm obviously not eating into his customer base or stepping on his toes. But hey, if it upsets you to the point where you feel a need to pull the curtain over your own work, I'm sorry to hear it, that wasn't my intention.

Guess Pogo's the only one who can make guns, eh?

Haven't we talked about Nomad's tax evasion enough? I'm pretty sure the old threads where he incriminated himself on numerous fronts also got into the subject.

    Fine, fine
