    - You either need a controller, a relay, a fuse, a jumper wire, or an element. A relay can burn out twice a year. Call bluebird and try to get free info on how to fix it.

Unplug it before you get in there and start touching wires. Kilns are just glorified toasters.

Pretty close I'm just in Portland a bit south, yeah acording to paragon it needs an entire new roof. Because for some dumb reason the kiln elements are literally cast into the top brick and it's one solid piece of plaster /elements basically.

I am dreaming up solutions. Its probably gna snow soon around here, not good for travel.

-Do you have any pictures of it that you can post? I will have some repair ideas in a couple days.

-Is there a char mark where the element burned out on the inside of the kiln on the roof?

-If there is a char mark, we can dig into that area and do a temporary fix that may last a week or 5 years.

-Pinning a new element in the ceiling of a kiln can be tricky.

-Kiln dust is also known as refractory brick dust which is very harmful to your lungs in a way that is usually noticed 20-50 years later with an emphysema diagnosis. Bob Snodgrass has good info about the hazards of handling refractory brick dust. There is no plaster in your kiln.

The price for me to dig into it fix it to last -is $300ish . My offer to buy it is $200 in cash or paypal. I can meet you in seattle (Ballard). Gotta pic? The quick fix price would be $60.
