These motorized rollers were recommended to me by Chris Buzzini and made by Doug Cain of Cain Machine Co. in Millville, NJ. They can hold two half-length punties to keep a piece warm while making paperweights. They can also be used to keep the ends of large rods or tubing warming while you're working on something else. I used to use them to keep large marbles warm while I was lampworking a component or something else. Just point one torch at the marble or paperweight or tubing and go work on another torch.
They rotate at about 30 RPM. The frame is cast iron and the axles are stainless steel. The wheels and gears are non-stainless steel or iron - they get a little humidity rust and have to be cleaned occasionally. The metal box and switch were added by me. It came with the motor exposed and had no on/off switch - you just plugged or unplugged it.
I paid $559.00 plus shipping for them in about 2005. I'm asking $325 plus $60 shipping. USA buyers only. Or, pick up with $300 cash in Carthage, MO.
NOTE: I don't look at PMs very often so contact me via the Email address in the verification info in the photo.
