New Phillips Lens?

I recently heard about a NEW VERSION of PHILLIPS LENS/GLASSES that addresses/corrects an old issue of the Phillips lenses being an inferior product...anyone know more about this than me, because as you can plainly see, I don't know squat...

BTW, I could give two shits about the customer service end of either company as there is too much trash on both sides of that particular fence. If you want to express your opinion about boycotting either company, please start another thread.

Lets keep this thread to information regarding this particular product comparison for the sake of everyone else reading...end of rant...

There were independent tests done (by a company that is not affiliated with either lens companies) on the previous version of the Phillips Lenses as compared to the Aura Lenses and it was shown the Phillips lenses are not protective enough for boro/color/fuming when used alone, but you could get a clip-on that would bring them up to the same protection levels as the Aura lenses. However, it was still an ugly clip on, and dammit, for $200+ we want some style!

I can't recall where I first heard Phillips improved the lenses by adding a laminate or something of the sorts, and that's what I'm curious about. The NEW lenses.

...kristian just posted the chart for the new phillips glasses a day or two ago. i think that is probably more what youre looking for.
cant remember if it was in general discussion or in the glassifides.
