Thanks for your comments Ash, Jokerdesign, Lorax, Crip, Seth and Mermonkey and Onion.
Mermonkey, I do not use a stump sucker for these. I use a technique called vailing and also emplosions. Onion, I'm working on making those grimlet pieces even smaller so now they are more like a 10 section pendant. LOL A quick story JFTR:

When I first started lampworking I read an article about a glass artist named Bob Snodgrass This guy writing the article, went out to Snodgrass's studio and wrote most of his article on watching Snodgrass make this pendant/marble with Ufo's, Planets, Stars, and Aliens. This thing was small too like pendant size. That glass and the way he talked about his experience with Snodgrass in that article stuck with me. I have always been into the "space" theme so that really set the ball in motion. I have been making "space theme" marbles ever since.

Feel free to post links to other space scene marbles on this post. We can make it a spacesceneorama. Peace.

    EDITED

"Feel free to post links to other space scene marbles on this post. We can make it a spacesceneorama."

We can do that. There are plenty of "space theme" [sic] marbles that don't copy, exactly (minus a spaceship), works that an artist devoted thousands of hours to develop and make his own extremely unique style.

    Ro Purser's "Sky Window"

    Geoff Beetem's Earth marble

And my own marble that is "Space theme" [sic].

Now we have yours, next to Gateson's..

Here is a few more of Gateson's marbles..

You bit like a tiger shark, and you have the fucking gall to act like this was a whim of the universe... pun slightly intended.

"I use a technique called vailing and also emplosions."

It's called 'fuming', and it's implosions, not emplosions. Nice attention to detail.

The fact that you are trying to claim that you came up with this design that one person devoted so many years to is downright despicable.

To all that don't know how many times Gateson's work has been outright copied, this should be a lesson. No one will ever give a damn about your 'work' or your 'art' if you outright copy or pretend that 'technique' is art. This isn't a technique. This is a man's hard work, combined with a great vision. And this EDIT copied it outright. If you can't see it through the pictures, you are doomed to making sub-par crap. Stand back, take a look, and see it's a rip off.

im sorry i have to disagree with ya chris every artist is going to be influenced by other artits and try to do things that even might be similar and once again it should be more flattering than anything. if people didnt try other things then the art would never progress we would be sitting here with the same techniques they have used for 1000 years. so its good that someone else tried it who knows they might even figure out a new technique with it and hopefully they might be kind enough to share it with everyone else. no point in being a glass snob. oh and i know gateson and those guys have made them first but ik sure they werent the first to think about it and im sure not the last. should everyone not make ocean scenes cause milon already does. or what about graal vessels i mean i bet plane or mickelson would be pissed if we did that. haha yeah right. hopefully we can all realize that everything we r doing was based off of other techniques at one point and time. now if gateson taught him and he was doing the same thing and undercutting that would be a problem but if he is self taught and usd his own brain power more power to him. if its such a big deal u and him have a contest with space marbs then u might feel a lil diff about it. just my opinion.
random naked girl in bed: " hey glenn i have a question for you, what do you do or a living?" glenn: " well ive got a question for you, what are you still doing here?" giggety giggety
