Hey fellow torch-addicts!

My name is John, I'm 37 and I live in the Chicagoland area.

I've dabbled with borosilicate on and off for years, but have never had a dedicated area to work, was always getting sucked into corporate life (cough, cough, I know).

Haven't done shit with my gear in ages, but I've finally got time to burn now!

Really simple setup for now, bullet burner, hurricane generator, mekker burner & vermiculite (I know, I need a KILN!).




Ready to be humbled by the masters and hopefully befriended by the fellowship.

Hey everyone,

I'm Dylan, I'm 23 and I'm from Springfield, IL

Been interested for a while, but have had very limited time behind the torch. It's tough getting started, and it's also tough to get people to let you use their bench.
In less than half a dozen hours I've produced some basic spoons, chillums and pendants.

Because of this, I'm building my own set-up, slowly but surely. I'll post my equipment on the proper thread, but I'm mostly there!

I was just introduced to the forum by xn4rk, and hopefully I can start a progression thread soon.

I'm very open to criticism, and am ready to learn anything you're willing to teach!

Hello from a fellow Floridian. Since your in the Tampa area I'd check out zen glass studios or (barefoot stash) here on the forums. They do some really cool stuff there and can teach you some amazing things as well as point you in the right direction as to where to get the things that are a must have. Also on every third Thursday they have an open studio night where a lot of people from around the area come hang out, learn, melt and just have an over all good time. I went for the first time this past Thursday and am definitely looking forward to the next time it's happening. But seriously check it out its a cool place with some cool people and some good vibes. Good luck with everything and hit me up if you need help with things although I'm a newb myself I'm prob a lil bit ahead of you at this point and am willing to help. Peace bro
