I use an old lapidary set up to polish coins. I start with 200 grit sanding wheel than 600. And polish it off with cerium oxide on a leather lap wheel. Cut cane slices with an old 6" trim saw with the thinnest blade I can find.

Thanks! I read somewhere about an acid to polish them, I guess it's that cerium oxide you speak of.

Really cool milli! Tottally looks like soft glass!

Some say Smeeth here has been lamping less than two years,
and up until just a couple weeks ago had pulled all his cane on a national 2b.
Does it blow your mind like it did mine?

All we know is he's called the STIG!

To set the record straight I was rocking a Nortell minor for a year and a half. I picked up a national 8m with a sm5 tip in December. Picked up a sm11 tip in January. The National with a sm 11 is an awesome soft glass torch. And two weeks ago I snagged a Bethlahem Bravo. Bravo for the win.

great stuff, I'm gonna have to start collecting them now. Do they all go right on to your etsy store when you finish?
