    Awesome work everyone!

When you guys do your rainbow fume work (I'm lookin' at you HMK) - are the colours WSIWYG? When you put them on, you obviously have control over what colour you are making - now is that because you can see what colour you are making? Or is it basically clear and then all gets struck later on?

well when i make fumed line tubing, the end product shows the fume up rather well, but its not really representative of the final shade that will be obtained. all the colors change a fair bit after working the tubing. I find if you want nice popping fume in this style its good to put it on quite heavy, so it shows up before striking. I get different colors in different places by aiming the silver or gold at different areas. Trial and error lets me know approximately what results i should get in the end. blues are pure silver, greens are gold silver blend, and pinks or browns/golds are pure gold. I usually make it, if its a full tube pull of line fuming by fuming one side of the tube with silver, letting it go up the sides some, and the other side with just gold. striping, leaving gaps, and burning the fume off in the gaps. then i fill in the gaps with 5mm and then put more clear on top.

Well thanks for the replies fellas! Sorry for the rather unclear question before - most posts I make in the morning seem to be pretty shitty.

You make it sound so easy HMK! I'll have to give that a try, fuming each side of the tube and see how it comes out. Thanks man!

i figured it out by looking at some el hefe fumework, and thought how the heck does he get that gradiated rainbow effect? i use to just alternate gold and silver, but i like the rainbow of fume color effect much better.

    classy lookin' ^^^

had a bee with combs request, to make it bee hive color if i could. came out not bad. i am planning on attaching the second wing tip, just saying before anyone tells me i should the second one i am posting here was part of the practice to get the top one right. both of these are almost completely inside fume only, and each has a hollow honeycomb marble.

I cant come close to any of your guys mind blowing creations, but its only been 2 weeks and I was jumping for joy when i finally got a spoon with some nice silver fuming.

Also the mouthpiece checked, and after trying my best to fix it I ended up with what looks like a little crooked smile etched out in the fume, bonus!

Still have to do the marbles and carb, but will be done in a few minutes. I'll post pics of the finished piece when I'm done too.

Finally got a good sunny day to take some pics of recent stuff.
Here's the spoon I posted last night finished.

This disk on the front was a real pain in the ass to photograph. Fuming is so light my phone camera had a hard time picking it up.

Here's the opal pendant I posted above as well.

Have one more pendant I wanted to post as well, but it's not letting me upload at this moment.
