if you want some real honest feedback, that 14k looks rough man, get some panned gold nugs or pure, just because you got it to stick does not make it a success. your straight silver fume looks way better, just my opinion, and I cant fume well

I am curious how your oxy machines are holding up and how many hours are on them.... have you checked the purity on them recently?

I'd avoid the panned gold, personally. Arsenic and gold tend to be in the same spot, let the middle men take care of cleaning that crap out. I know we all try for solid ventilation, but why push our luck?

Oxygen generators work great. I have had them for a year and a half.

I got some reds out of the gold and some blue out of silver. Then I got purple out of the mix.
    The silver is different.

Yes I have seen gold come off before. The glass was not hot enough and it wasn't heated in well.

I like Canadian gold and silver maple leaf coins for fuming as they are very pure and standardized quality. If i'm going to pay for precious metals, it's going to be the highest quality I can find. The only downside is cost and cutting them up into usable chunks but it's worth the trouble. Make sure you get yours from a reliable source as there are fake gold ones on the market because they are popular.

Sheet metal snips are what im using nebula, or unless i find something better. I cut long straight chunks off then i use wire cutters once they're in strips.

I was reading that sterling silver is the purist silver used in jewelry because it's durability. As well as 18 k and 14 k gold. The metal is too soft to be used in pure form.
    That was my mistake.

I don't know how accurate this is, but when I first got into glass 17 years ago, it was commonly said that the fume from copper could collapse your lung if you inhaled some.

I just heard that bob snodgrass could fume green with it.
I have seen on Facebook someone was selling a pipe fumed with bobs gold tooth.
    But nothing in person.
