I've been working with glass for almost a decade. It's become an obsession and my zen moment for the day/week.

I really started concentrating on marbles almost two years ago. I've always loved the simplicity of a sphere and I try to make it as complex and interesting inside as I can to create a strong contrast between the smooth contours of the surface. I love fuming and it is showcased in some way or another in almost all of my work.

Geomatrix series #25. A brilliant black/green Trillion opal rests on top of a geometric gold and silver fume implosion. nebulous sparkle fume backing with a very nice contrasting dotstack/pinwheel to separate the two hemispheres. Will come signed Smolder 2013 Geo #25. 1.56" diameter.
