Dichro X Fume, a class with Mr. Gray & JD Maplesden

In this two-day course, JD Maplesden & Mr. Gray, will demonstrate and teach dichroic and fume preparation techniques, advanced construction, and more. Using their individual aesthetics, they will collaborate on creating one final constructed piece.

Day One:
Fume Prep techniques with JD - silver & gold application, flame chemistry
Dichroic Prep techniques with Mr. Gray - pulling tube, flat cane, solid cane
And Requests with time permitting!

Day Two:
Advanced Construction, Assembly, & Attachments

This is a demo-based class so torches and tools are not needed this time around. Do bring your safety glasses and a notebook and pen/pencil.
Price is $600. Lunch is provided.

We have six torch spaces available for students who want to blow glass while attending the course. These spots are an extra $100 for the weekend and include all gases. Student needs to supply their own torch, tools, and materials.
