Nurses don't have it bad at all whats all the complaining about from the nurses
. In Portland the starting wage for a nurse is like 40 G's with bennies not much left to complain about after that. My mom is disabled now but was making about 55,000 a year and she loved her job. Seems like the nurses that want to be a nurse enjoy taking care of poeple, in fact it seems they need that in their daily life.

well hope fully its not past its regenerative stage. unless he needs a trans plant he should be fine. The liver bounces back pretty good if its isn't abused.

Re: Dwaine
I got $10 on that fowl monkey
Anyways.... a good friend of mine is a flight nurse, they make crazy cash, I have no idea how much, but I'm guessing at least 80k a year, plus crazy benefits. Plus, she can get on any airline free any time, as long as she says she had to get bumped from her plane for a passenger. I'd bet they all kinda use that more than work requires
and yeah, wtf dwaine... he hasn't posted here, so is he still in the hospital?

Get well soon mate.
PS -I sent you something hard and round to suck in the mail direct to the hospital but now you're not there probly some fat hairy male nurse will make good use of it.
Funny how things turn out eh.

Re: Dwaine
man i am glad that you're home, but oooh, baby, the liver, huh? make sure they are thorough on those panels- A, B, and C. the quicker they catch anything like that, the better.
and in the mean time, Milk Thistle is great for detoxing the liver. also SAMe, but it's pricier. I take them every day- makes a big difference for me.

Hopsital nursing is hardwork, almost as hard as ripping out prodo for 8 hours. I work 12.5 hour shifts overnights in an ICU. I acutally just started, i've been and orderly for years and had a BS in biology. Nursing seemed the next step.
most nurses that complain about their jobs are of 'the glass is half empty' type. I see nurses take ALOT of abuse from patients. people often have a very consumer oriented mindset and see nurses almost as servents/waiters. It's a test of character to remain polite to people who get nasty because you did'nt get their pain med right when they wanted it. while the reason you were a little late was because you were busy making descisions about another patient who was going critical.
despite all that, it's really a great job. You can do anything with it, travel anywhere. It pays very well. It's both hands on and mentally challegning. You get to meet some very interesting people who are truely greatful for what you are doing.
also as a man in nursing school, you'll never be dateless.

Maybe Dwaine should be a nurse. He has two hands _and_ is mentally challenged....
