    I like to polish them out too, and polish the rim of the bowl especially so that it doesnt have any stress.

    i always polish the nice ones. for the $5 trick I never polish.

    Still, why would a glob flattened on a graphite pad form rings instead of a continuous, gradual cooling? I know that this happens, but it seems strange.
