Hell yea, how about free shipping so $40. Wish I could go really cheap for you guys but these are a huge pain in the ass working with high carbon steel. I've been using a much better brand of plyers than the ones pictured, they look the same just harder to make. They are slip joint so ones for 9.5 and the other works for 12mm. Is the blade replaceable?

i can tell from the pics that the ones he posted cut tiny pieces off, which the other type doesn't do easily. can you explain about that at all, mike? thanks

I've never used that type but the thing I like about these is that the second cut out allows you to hold the part being snapped off. Do those hold the glass as you snap? I'm not being a smartass I've just never used them.

Yea Nemesis, the blade is replaceable 7/64 allen screw. I did sell a few pair w/ a compersion pin. If anyone from here got one of those p.m. me

do they cut millies cleanly,you have pics of some milies that you've cut with this tool.

They do cut millies but not the "chip" method. You can scribe all the way around very lightly & grab that tiny chip and snap it off. I have better luck this way. I can get the same size slices for reptile eyes or whatever.

i was interested in cutting murrine too. how thin can you cut wafers? do they come out consistantly clean or do you get some funky breaks like with nippers? assuming that the murrine is all good that is.

Ooooh, I HATE that other kind. This new kind looks nice with the handles. That other (old) kind always slips around on the tubing when you're scoring...

Well I wish I could say they all come out 100%. Really thin slices are still hit of miss at this point, I'd say it does pretty well w/ 4 mm or longer. I don't know how to post any pics or should I find the url of a image when its in my documents or I'd toss in some milli pics.

Interesting. I've been shopping for a new tubing cutter. Any chance of being able to make one that cuts 1" tube?

I have made some that cut larger tubing very well. Nice connection on the scores. Thermal shock and bam-just like factory. I'll try & learn the whole pic postin thing.
