I met this guy (Shawn Daddy) back in '97 outside of Arcata. He was a complete tool. He hit on my girlfriend in front of me, him or someone else in his shop stole a pack of dichro from me (they'd never seen dichro before) and just generally sucked. He still stands out as the worst "I'm s glassblower and my shit don't stink, bow down before me" attitude I've ever seen. His work was pretty much the same as the competent work coming out of Eugene at the time, nothing special.

This was a long time ago, but you ever meet a guy who was such a self absorbed pompus ass that it sticks with you? That was this guy.

As farasI can tell, It's not illegal to smoke bannannas, cinnamon sticks, apple stems, ants, msg, or cupcakes. Anything else possibly alluded to may or may not be illegal depending upon one's medical status, age, or locale...

I don't think it really violates TOU.

That being said, this does remain one of the great thread jackings of all time...

P.S. I'm pretty f@#$in sure that the Shawn Daddy pieces displayed it said issue of H#$% T&^%s were done with a combination of cut and flip, and encalmo sections. The "surface work" pinwheels are where he coveded the seam that is usually left when you flip the cut tube....

I don't think anyone cares about some lame high time pictures or the original topic of this thread including the person that started this thread. Deftone, do you even care about following up on your questions? If you can't achieve the simple task of posting pictures of what pertains to you question, your probably never going to get close to recreating it with your own glass. Have you been trying to figure out how to post pics for the past six months? Seriously.....What a tool.

Maybe he just doesn't have access to a scanner, since the pictures to which he is referring are in a paper magazine. Regardless, there is no need to be a dick. The pieces in question are pretty cool, and way the hell old skool as far as technique. It's something you rarely see done anymore. Cool shit, guy was interested, nuff said. Besides several people knew exactly what pieces he was talking about, so obviously someone reads the mag once in a while...

I don't mean to be a dick, but this thread is 6 months old and I still have no idea what the original post is about. I'm sure the glass is great, but how should I know, I don't read that mag because for the most part it's garbage. I've seen some terrible glass featured in it. This probably isn't . Take a digital photograph of the page you are referring to so at least we have sort of a clue what you want described. There is an audience here trying to help, let them.

Its kinda like crying wolf. Eventually help gets fed up.

If anyone really cared they could probably add him to their myspace or at least message him there and ask about the stupid piece in question...

hey there. i have a couple of things to say. first of all, delete this thread or post the pics already. im sick of seeing this alway with new post in it but nothing to do with the original title of the post. then it got highjacked and turned into a bullshit topic that nobody cares about. if your stupid enough to beleive what you read in the anarchist cookbook and then decide to smoke or ingest any of it then please post your findings somewhere else. start a new thread in the safety break room. dont highjack a thread that people are trying to read.

and secondly this is for izzy spun. there acctually is a post in this thread that does pertain to illegal acctivity and would violates the rules. this is nothing against you brian, im just proving a point.

now izzy, i dont know if you read all the thread before you posted but this doesnt pertain to banana peels, cinamon or fake herbal concoctions. this acctually has to do with the use of illegal substances. its still illegal. his age or localle has nothing to do with it. and i dought hes got any medical status if hes sitting in a room doing bottletokes with friends.

im not trying to be a dick i just think that if your gonna post in a thread you should at least read it and know what your are typing to be true.

oh and also, the banana peel thing involves the decomposing of the banana skin. collectiong the mold spores at a certain time and then baking them in the oven and then ingesting them. again this is something that comes from the anarchists cookbook and cannot be relied on as true. everything in that book is shady and i dont recomend any of the things in there to anybody.

Actually, I did read the entire thread before I posted, I just don't assume that everything posted about actually happened in this backward ass country. For all I or anyone except brian knows, he might have been in Amsterdam at the time, or he might have been in a med state with proper papers. Regardless, I don't feel his statement violates t.o.u. unless it is known or proven that he was in a location where it is illegal.

Just continuing one of the great threadjackings of all time.

actually, accordong to his user stats, Brian is in Canada, wher laws are less stringent

Right click on the posts that I want to read and they open in new tabs
Read only the posts I want
Log off
