always steppin big even when i shouldnt heheh oh well,

so I was tryin not to fume to hard last night, and was kinda irratated after doin a lot of IO clear and findin out there wasnt enuf fume to show anything so all the dots n linews are gone ugg, but the second one had a better ammount and actually might be my best fumed piece yet, but still to much at the bowl n mouth end but i know its from me sprayin a second layer on b4 i closed it up shouldnt have done that. deffinatley liek the 50x2.5 pullin cups off rdy to use is the shit and my stuff is commin out thicker now and i like it.

any how here it is

Ok so here is my first horn attempt (garrick inspired) and i must say it was kinda a bitch meltin in cuz it wanted to move all over the place, but I did a brace this time from bowl to stem and I can say I finally know how to do a proper seal, I could actually melt it n puff it with out it gettin all wonkey on me. so it came out smooth n thick, n tryed a lil more shapin then i would normally do, have to try again later today

I dont have no gold so only silver fume which i put on to thick again... i need some gold cuz i like the othercolors that come wif it ...

im def not that good at pickin good color combos but oh well im sure that will come in time.

also made a few pices of jank, the one isnt to bad but it cracked 3 times in the final stages, right across the front of bowl, then the whole back inch broke off blotube n all, jsut picked it up stuck it togethre and melted teh shit outa it and it came out ok,, cant believe all teh cracks i been savin latley, even fiked the bub crack so that was good,,

the other one i was jsut over not enuf fume and was sjtu wastin my time so i just made a freebe piece heheh

YAY just got a hook up for free propane at taylor rentals, went by today to drop a piece for the welder that hooked me up some weldin and the othere dude says hey hit me up we can trade i give ya free propane heheheh so im stoked on that BiG BBQs now hahahah

Greetings. Instead of encasing your color first I would "trail spin" your colors, UNENCASED. Then, with a wide soft flame heat the colors until they are almost melted in. Now festoon (one direction rake) or feather (two direction rake) with, I prefer 3mm clear rod but you may want to use 5mm. Seeing how its less prone to breaking. This will give a much cleaner finish while also encasing your colors at the same time.

Also, when it comes to color use, consider using colors without silver in them. For instace, use GA aqua azul (446) and crayon orange (204). Spin 4 trails on a fumed tube, as thin and evenly as your able. Follow the steps I told you.
Repeat the exact same pipe 10 times in a row.
Remember, look at the reflection of light on the piece you are making. Any where the light 'bends" or "cutz" represents a deviation in structure. You want the glass to flow.
Keep it up. Your enthusiasm could take you far.

last I heard, those are the best colors to fume with.

nice horn, crip. one thing you might want to do is attach the smaller part of the horn some where on the piece with another piece of glass as a bridge.

lol all these Garrick inspired pieces. i'm gonna have to make one of my own! are melting the i/o in all the way? on the horn piece it looks like it might not be idk its hard to tell. but if your not i definitely feel you it takes forever on the 8m especially for me on concentrators. sweet pieces tho i like the elf hat shape bowl head lol

anyhow i made a piece pipe for my buddy i dont really like it but he loves it it does fit in the hand well..

ok not to bad a night last night, made a bub for my buddy he watched the whole process, like 2 hrs n gave me 60$ cuz he was so stoked to watch and got to see how much work goes into it, i was only gona charge him 40$, so that was fun, it ended up thick ass too, weighs a 1/4 lb and stands up YAY

the one coilpot piece is a sweet color and i blew holes in it and filled with a slightly diff color then encased, I like it, all my holes came out perfect so was stoked on that and most all the shapen was to my likein

so now what?? gona need more oxy soon and i guess ill just keep practicin, n practicin, hehejh
