Hi:
I noticed most folks on here are lampworkers/flameworkers, making things in a torch. I mostly do casting but do use a torch on some things after they are cast. Here's an example.

I am completely computer illiterate. I don't even know if this message will ever be read. I'm just trying to get the hang of this web site, there seems to be a lot of history here already. Anyway, I have been lampworking for over ten years now and it feels like I've just scratched the surface. So I say What Up to all my glass blowing brothers and sisters and I hope to be hearing from you soon.http://www.GlassPipes.org/NoStress
twice now, hell ya that gallery is sweet,
welcome to all you new guys!

Hey Roger, you are a inspiration and a living legend in the lampworking community. I have been following your work and using your color for many years. The balance and form your pieces represent is the basis for perfection in this growing glass revolution. I hope i wasn't laying it on too thick, I'm just a big fan! It's cool to see you on this site, safe travels in Japan.
hey thanks for the nice words. No matter how long we are all in the game it's nice to hear them!
Hey guys, Leland here aka Getonthepartybus!. I've been on this forum watching and waiting for awhile but just recently put up my first post!
I live in Baltimore, MD and manage a Hookah Lounge. I haven't been working glass for about 2 years now, but extremely on and off because it's hard to find people to work with. I think I finally solved that problem though, as I just finished building my own studio in my garage. So now I'll be able to rage with the rest of you!
I love glass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey now! Mark here, torchin' since '97, base of operations is the Golden State/Cali., but I range far & wide (old tour head). ; )
I've never encountered such a wealth of talent and generosity as I've seen around here. Thanks to everyone who's contributed to the GLDG knowledge base!
welcome!

Hello,
my name is matt titheridge and im about a month into this lampworking hobby. i live in the mountains in rossland, BC, canada, and work as a welder in a fabrication shop. the convenient use of my welding account to cover fuels and experience blacksmithing made it seem like an easy transfer to glass. i have quickly learned that this is not the case, and working glass is different and an entirely different craft (fuck yeah, i love it)... i look forward to learning more and perhaps meeting some other crafts people on the northern west coast!
