Some more stuff from this past weekend...
More sandblasting experiments, a vase for a change, and another 'voorhees'.
Please excuse the terrible shots of the fumed / sandblasted pieces...
really cool man. so jelous of the sandblaster.
for some reason the stemless reminds me of the Mama Alien from Alien vs. Preditor... dont ask why becuase i dont know why.
Thanks doods... I can see what you mean Chris.
And Crip: You and I seem to be on the same wavelength lately in terms of influences. I'd give my left nut to be at AGI watching Salt do his thing... next year for sure!
This one is probably my post involved piece to date. I spent about six hours on a saturday and it just kind of came together. I'm pretty stoked about it overall - I tried to make it clean and solid, and I'm really happy with how it came out. I'm so happy that I used the word 'stoked', possibly for the first time in my life. I need to do more honeycombs....
My only problem is pricing it. I haven't seen enough pipes around here for a good comparison. If you're from Ontario, or even Canada, and have an opinion, please let me know. The reason I'm asking people from around my area is because glass seems to go for way more here than some of the more saturated markets price it at. You glassblowers from Oregon or Cali would shit if you knew what you could sell your work for up here (I'm sure it's the same for other parts of the U.S.).
Aw heck, anybody at all who wants to shoot out a number, please do.
And please, I want to remind anyone who has made it this far into my rambling: I really want to hear some criticism on my work. Don't like something? Tell me! I'm in a bit of a glassblowing bubble where I'm at, so this is literally my only way of hearing comments from my peers.
