Re: HMK's mediocre glass thread
I'm pretty sure it cost $10 Canadian to ship my last two curves. I don't think a unit would cost that much more to ship.

Re: HMK's mediocre glass thread
You need to work on your curves kut, its all wonky at the bends you can see little bumps and shit.
When you do a bend like that you have to do it super cold so that it takes force to actually bend the piece. Then you just polish out any bit of stretch marks and you got a fluid curve.

Re: HMK's mediocre glass thread
work on my curves, lol, im doing a 1250 dollar order right now. i dont need any incentive from you, the money is enough.
im not sure about doing it super cold, i do alot of bends, but usually just clear tubing, and it seems its nice to give it a good heating to get it all melty, and then carefully, start a nice bend. when doing research on bending, i read a thread where it seemed the general consensus was to get it really hot when doing a bend, but i find if its way too soupy its detrimental.
http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showt...bending+tubing
there is a bump or two on that curve, i agree. really only one i see thats ugly, i did smooth it in/melt it down a bit, but not all the way. when doing fully worked curves its harder to bend them them flowingly compared to clear tubing, but im still practicing lots, so it will come with time. i will take your words into consideration, but the research i did before indicated very cold bends wasnt a good way...
