    Default WTB Oxycon

I'm looking for an oxycon. Something with atleast 8 lpm is preferred. I'd much prefer it to be ready to use out of the box as I'm paying $55 a tank from the oxypirates and need to get off the bottle. Let me know what you guys have available!

What kind of torch are you using? You may need more than 8LPM to run it, most oxycons put out less than they are supposed to.

And the low PSI is a factor also. seen some linked together then run through a compresser to up the PSI, but it is a complex system. metal bone built a compresser to bottle your own and listed scmatics.

great thing but big up front cost, but at 55 a tank, could be worth it

its not just psi its purity that drops as you add more oxy into your flame, you'll struggle to keep colours as bright, and reducing colours will be a thing you'll long to be able to achieve. only way around this is a holding tank, but still the purity wont be 100%.

Never seemed to have a problem unless my pressure was low in the holding tank. I run a hurricane on my Lynx center fire and it rocks it pretty good, not quite 100% full time, sometimes I have to take 5 every 2 or 3 pieces if I rage it to let the holding tank rebuild pressure. Im letting mine go now as I finally upgraded to 280 tanks and am finally getting the good stuff for a fair price. I would definitely recommend a concentrator to anyone that's getting the raping from the O2 supplier, unless of course you're at high altitude.

I wish I had seen that video of (whoever it was, Alzheimers wins again) dude running the oxycons through a oil-less compressor, makes me want to find out it that would work with my single hurricane.

The Invacare 10 LPM 9 psi machine for $850 seems like a good match for a mini cc.

Call Paul at extreme oxygen or call Dave at abr. Get a couple of EX15 scratch and dents for $450 each and you are golden no tank necessary. I use 4 at a time and might add a 5th. Make 3" boro marbles with my setup but I compress my oxy into a 60 gallon tank.

I have a good offer I'm looking at right now. I'll keep that in mind if I decide I don't want to drive 16 hours round trip to go pick up this one :-D

If only moving was an option... Ohio sucks lol. I got an oxycon from Alien though so mods can close this thread if you'd like.

I just purchased a GTT Scorpion and am considering getting a concentrator. I'm still fairly new to lampworking and haven't seen anyone use concentrators. Can you guys give me the DL on the logistics of it, pros, cons. Any additional equipment needed? We currently use liquid at about $200 for the big tank, but eventually I want to have a mobile setup with a concentrator.

    Default Seriously, no help here

I didn't think I was asking about something occult. I figured there would be a few of you willing to give some advice by now, or at least one person.
