Default Flower Bead - my first attempt

OK, I don't think that I've ever posted any pictures of my work on here before. I am going to step out of my comfort zone and post a picture of a bead I made the day before yesterday.

This is my first try at a sculptural flower bead. It is made out of Bullseye glass, COE 90.

Hey, that looks great, especially considering that it's your 1st one! What does Bullseye call that pink?

Very nice, especially for a first sculptural flower! Is that the 0305 Salmon? I love the Bullseye pinks.

    Wow, thanks, everyone!

KoolGlass and Kalera, I think it is Salmon. It was part of a rod assortment package and was unlabeled.

Bullseye makes some really great colors. I would highly recommend BE to anyone, especially people who normally work boro that want to try soft glass. It isn't as drippy as Effetre.

nice rose!first try?wow!I"ve been making roses for a while, heres a cool tip i discovered.make about 20 petals that are straight/flat however big you like and start by wrapping them around the top of a rod the same color in sort of a spiral start with your shortest petal and progress to your largest till what you have is sort of a cone on a rod....it helps to stretchthe petals to points on both ends so they differentiate on the ends.when your done pop it off the rod and flip it upside down and fill the middle with red or whatever color you want..then add some leaves or whatknot.it"s kinda like makin a rose upside down.it"s fun tho.give it a try n tell me how it goes.or maybe that was to vague???oh well let me know how it goes if you try it out ok?peace.c.k.
