Re: Kato's work and progress
Kato- try bridging those sherlies. It'll change your game on em. Gives you so much more control of the shape and weld.

^^ yeah bridging scared the crap out of me when i first heard the idea but it make a world of a difference when connecting any two preshaped pieces...you can melt in the whole weld throw it upside down to let gravity pull some of the glass away from the can...and really focus on getting that weld even...
other than that looking good man i really like you fume trap style that you have down And the solid color honeycomb mibs looks pretty sweet keep it up!

Re: Kato's work and progress
yea bridging is what you have to do to get the walls all even and nice looking on the bend the trick is to use a marble on the side of your piece to bridge to a little tiny blob of clear that you put on your blow tube to attach the bridge to. make sure the clear is melted in on the tube good and then you can bridge to those two spots and if your bridge happens to crack when in the kiln or pulling it off it doesnt shoot the crack in the piece it just stops on the surface of the marb. dont be scared once you bridge it man it only gets easier and will really help you out with doing section pieces that dont line up strait to the blow tube.

I don't know man. Maybe Slick is right. Maybe you just need to stick to prodo spoons for a while, you know, until you get this whole glass thing down.
(I kid. Fucking amazing work man. I'd be happy to possess half of your skills).

Unique structure, and I am curious about this waffle perc?!?!?!?!
I like how you have it able to lay down and stand up. Its like seeing a Ferrari standing still, and then seeing it in action. thanks for the pics!
