well i was making a piece last night, and decided to bridge the can to stem weld. did that, was pretty cool i guess, then i heard a tink thought it was a bridge end, then when i went to remove it a different weld came apart, and i had it all hanging there. so i went and rejoined the weld, and then rebridged to work it well, and it was great. the bridge really helped

with a more critical eye, i see what you mean on some joins being mediocre looking. thanks.

on the other hand, some experienced artists hardly ever bridge small shit. isn't it kind of like the argument about pulling points or not? like i said if i felt the need for a bridge i would use it, and i did, and i did. since we are on the subject, can i ask how bridging helps so much on spoons, and also dont all bridge welds have to be very good? no tacking on bridges, correct? just seems like a fair bit of effort for not much help in most cases where it could possibly be used.
yea but those are experienced artists. bridging will make the walls even and the peice overall more solid so not bridging and having lumpy welds will add to stress in the piece. you should at least try it before you knock it. seems to me you are quick to bang on somthing that you havnt even tried. try it out especially when attaching the two main unit pieces together.

its a piece of MA tubing i got from phatty glass that seems exceptional, and some MA rod for the marble, bell and topknot. i dont know if all MA tubing is this striking, but this is much more reactive than any rod i have seen. a bit bubbly too kinda, odd.

i dont think you read all the posts, i came around a day or two before you posted this. and you misread my mindset. i did try it, and wasnt really knocking, it, i was just being resistive to new technology. i got over it. and i dont think my welds were crappy technically in the last while, just maybe not as smooth as a bridged one. still sound welds. no pieces are breaking. i look through the welds to the inside as best i can. for example, when its red hot you can see the inner wall from certain angles, even on fully worked stuff.

that one broke, but ya, it has potential.

some hks guy wanted something like this, and i posted the other pic to show 151 that the MA one isnt really a super small body, in comparison to average, its just a tiny bit under average if anything..

151's colour scheme is really nice, that's my gf's fave colour!
I definitely like the front feet on the retti unit for all 4 feet, small compact and cute. The smaller units the better and I love ur baby rigs
